GIS-ROBOTICS Competition

{flike}

Technology is critical for innovation; tics helps students to realize there is nothing more empowering than the experience of imagining something, building it, and then ultimately watching it work. GIS took the initiative to teach Robotics to all the students of Grades four to nine, in the year 2015.

The first GIS-ROBOTICS competition was held on Saturday, 18th February 2017 in the School Hall.

A total of 36 students in teams of four participated in this competition; four teams in Junior level (from grades 5 and 6), four teams in Middle level (from grades 7 & 8) and one team from grade 9 in the Senior level. The best three teams from each level were selected to participate in the 7th International Robotics Competition (IRC) League – Maldives.

Last year GIS participated in the IRC League in Singapore and won second place in the Middle category.
