IRC Maldives Round was held for the very first time at Ghiyasuddin Intl. School on 10th April 2017 . Different rounds of  are organised and held every year by Avishkaar group, a Delhi Company before they host their League Competition. This year, along with GIS, Ahmadhiyya Intl. School (AIS) took part in the IRC Maldives Round and competed very well at the tournament.

GIS participated in all three categories: junior, middle and senior group whereas AIS participated in middle and senior groups. With great effort and practice, both schools got prepared and came for the one-day tournament. Winners from these categories were selected and awarded with medals and certificates. Overall, winning team was a GIS team who were praised by the Avishkaar group for their creativity and swiftness. All the winners from the Maldives Round will get the chance to compete at the IRC League which is going to be held in Beijing, China from 1st to 8th June 2017.

Parents of these teams were there to support the teams from the beginning till the end of the tournament. GIS wishes to thank all these parents, the Robotics teachers' team who has given all their time to this activity. In addition, a special thank you for the students of both GIS and AIS for showing co-operation and good sportsman.
