My Miserable trip to Malaysia

2+

The sky was unforgiving outside, so I was shaking in my boots while I looked out of the big airport windows. I felt the extra-long chicken burger and sprite from Burger King dancing around in my stomach as I watched the planes land and take off. It was unfortunately too late to back out – I had to go to Malaysia.

Everything was a blur until we boarded the plane. Menacing aluminum walls loomed before me. Scratchy blue seats cackled evilly as we all boarded the plane. These strangers, and my mom and grandma, were going to be stuck with me on this flying tin of sardines for three hours. The second I buckled my seatbelt though, I immediately blacked out.

When I woke up, the plane had landed. Thankfully, at the airport and not the ocean. Multiple babies wailed like fire alarms until we all hauled out of the plane.

We made a point to get to our hotel as fast as possible, but then we got distracted by a gorgeous food court. The food there was to die for, but sadly we had to eat it with haste.

When we finally got to the hotel, we were all winded and tired and in need of a nap. The hotel lobby had a grand Christmas tree that was a stark contrast to the dark city. Still, even that wasn’t enough to wake me up.

After crashing down and finally stretching our feet, we all fell asleep. It was only a few hours until I woke up at seven in the morning to go on my first adventure.

Mega Mall! The pride and joy of Kuala Lumpur, I’m pretty sure. My mom and grandma dragged me from shop to shop, doing near endless shopping until my feet were sore from all the walking.

What made the day worth it was the promise of having dinner with my cousins who arrived about four days before us. Sadly, I got motion sickness and couldn’t have that much fun.
