PARKING ZONE
Sharing an unpleasant experience
Dear Amra,
I’m sorry I haven’t written to you in a while, I was so busy with my studies. Anyway, I’m writing this letter to tell you about a problem I faced last week.
As you know, I recently got my license and started riding my motorbike. Last week Tuesday, I was out grocery shopping at a nearby shop, I left my motorbike at the side of the shop. After finishing off my shopping I was taken aback to find two police officers placing a ticket on my bike.
I was extremely confused and asked them what the problem was. Apparently, I had parked my bike at a wrong place. I was sure my bike was parked near the shop and not in front of it. I explained this to the policemen but to my dismay they didn’t believe me. Meanwhile, Areena was around the corner observing all this. She went up the policemen and told them that she saw a man place my bike in front of the shop. She pointed to a middle-aged man getting onto a bike. The policemen were sorry and took back my ticket.
I was overjoyed because if I had got a ticket my parents would’ve taken my bike. I told Areena that I would take her out for dinner for helping me out. She happily agreed and we both went to my favourite restaurant.
I’m winding up my letter with a picture of both of us having dinner.
Love,
Samhee
