GIS always has an energetic calendar filled with lots of activities both academic and non-academic for all the students. As the year began, parents have been informed of the upcoming activities at the general parents' meeting and so during the weekend, on 20th and 21st January 2017, Grades 2 to 5 had their first sport activity of the year.  

Inter-class Handball and Football Tournament were organised under the supervision of the school Sports Coordinator Mr. Madih supported by the school PE Department and the Key Activity Coordinators. The tournaments were arranged as such where girls played Handball and boys Football during which each student got the chance to play 2 matches.  

The weekend ended with great excitement and support from the parents of all the participants as they enjoyed the matches throughout the tournament.  

At GIS, all sports activities for the Grades 1 to 3 are organised for students to provide them a platform to showcase their skills and talents and at the same time for them to gain experience and enjoy a fun environment. On the hand the students of Grade 4 and above participate in these sports events at a more competitive level yet enjoy the sporting spirit.
