GIS Chess teams: Under 8 and Under 10 have taken the Champion titles from the Inter-school Chess Tournament held on 14th & 15th April 2017. Our students played very well during the tournament and apart from winning the Champion titles, three students won First Places from the two age categories.

Qanit Faizel Uppadathil (Class 2C) won First Place from the Under 8 age category while Mariyam Mishka Migdhaadh (Class 4D) and Yoosuf Waseem Ahmed (Class 4B) won First Place from the Under 10 age category. GIS is proud of this achievement as our teams competed with seven schools. GIS also wishes to thank the coaches: Hussain Vishau Mohamed and Hassan Nasih for training and preparing the students for the tournament.
