GIS at IRC League 2017 at Beijing, China
{flike}
A total of six teams from Ghiyasuddin International School participated in the International Robotronics Competition (IRC) held in Beijing, China on 3rd June 2017. Along with GIS, teams from India, Singapore, China and Bangladesh participated in the competition.
The competition was organised into three categories: junior, middle and senior group. A total of 15 teams competed in junior group while 11 competed in the middle group and 10 in the senior group. A total of 6 teams from GIS competed at the competition: 3 junior, 2 middle and 1 senior team. Teams were ranked at the competition and it is worth-praising that all our teams did a wonderful job, in fact the senior team was ranked at 4th place while one of the middle teams (BOLT) were ranked at 5th place.
This time a total of 24 students went for the Beijing League and had performed very well. One remarkable fact is that, all the bots our students used at the competition were built by them only with little guidance from the trainers and this according to the trainers is something GIS acknowledges as innovation is limitless; GIS is proud for having created such a platform for the students.
GIS wishes to thank all the parents of the IRC team members and the trainers Ms. Seetha (Computer HOD), Mr. Binesh (Computer teacher) and Ms. Thaaifa (Primary Science teacher) for their relentless effort in bringing out the best in teams.
