"Energy saved today is an advantage to sustain a green future". GIS has been contributing to the environment in different ways over the past years.

One important project started in 2013 and continued every year is the energy monitoring project of the school. Every year, we try to reduce the consumption of energy by doing trivial things such as switching off the fans and lights and other energy consuming appliances whenever they are not in use. Energy Monitors of the school have routine tasks to check and monitor the consumption of energy at different times during the day and share their records with the school management. This year, we will continue the same and also will be using other methods to share the details of the monitoring done such as keeping statistics in each class and updating them, sharing the details with parents via parent portal and sharing the circuit readings at the school assemblies.

Today, details of how the project will be carried this year were shared at the school General Assembly and as a kick-off, ACs in all rooms that have fans were switched off for the day.
