GIS proudly shares the experience of hosting the first Basketball Camp in collaboration with Marlon Smith, the founder and director of MS Hoops Basketball Teams, Clinics and Camps, New York, USA.

Marlon Smith Basketball Camp was held on 9th & 10th of March 2018. Players of Under 12, 14 & 16 teams took part and got the opportunity to master the skill concepts presented by Mr. Marlon Smith. During the last weekend, GIS had a euphoric environment as all players were engaged from morning till evening with short breaks in between. Parents of all players were also invited to watch the camp while Mr. Marlon Smith presented the skill concepts.

The Basketball Camp was a golden platform for the players as they not only learned some new concepts but got the chance to talk to a professional player and a coach and at the same time got a friendly environment to add on to their team spirit.

GIS wishes to thank Mr. Marlon Smith for adding value to what the school is doing to promote Basketball. A special gratitude to FALIM Group Pvt. Ltd. for sponsoring the whole event which allowed all the players to take part in the camp free of charge. GIS wishes to provide such platforms to students in various sports in the future.
