8th May 2018 is a memorable day for GIS as another special function was held this morning – the Red Carpet Honour for the Champions from Inter-school Basketball, Inter-school 3 x 3 Basketball and Inter-school Bicycle Tournament.

At the special assembly this morning, the whole school along with the parents of the winners celebrated the success we achieved from these three tournaments. It is customary for GIS to share such achievements with the whole school and therefore, the winners were given the awards they received at the closing ceremony of these tournaments. In addition, the school acknowledged the dedicated contribution by the Basketball Coaches Mr. Ilyas and Mr. Moosa as well as Bike Coach Mr. Madih for training and preparing the players and bike runners for the tournaments. Hence, the coaches were handed a token of appreciation by the school management.

GIS thanks the coaches and parents who gave the players and runners their non-stop support from the beginning till the end of the tournaments.
