On the 15th of October 2018, 25 teachers across the primary grades took part in a workshop on ‘Drama for Learning’ conducted by Ms. Tuhina Mehra - Asst. Manager for Education & Training at Shri Educare Ltd.
Ms Tuhina enlightened the teachers on the importance of integrating drama into all subjects as a strategy to encourage the active involvement of all students with different learning needs.
This interactive session involved a variety of hands on activities, which utilized texts ranging from Jack and the Beanstalk to Wonder by R. J. Palacio. Drama activities such as whoosh, freeze frames, sculptors, chalk talk etc. were carried out where interactive discussions, dramatic ensembles and peals of laughter engulfed the learning atmosphere. It was indeed an afternoon of fruitful learning!
