IS has become the first school in the Maldives to introduce a 'Mascot' to represent the school at various ceremonies, events and activities. The 'Purple Sparkles' which is also nicknamed as the 'Sparky' gave its grand opening on the 6th of October 2016 during the special assembly held to celebrate the teachers' day. All the students and teachers were very excited as the Mascot drove the hoverboard around the school waving to all. The Mascot created a euphoric atmosphere which also gave an extra essence to the grand celebration of the teachers' day.

GIS wishes to thank the PTA Exco, specially the Activity Committee Chairperson Mr. Shaheer for the valuable contribution in making the Mascot and E'shaal Hasmath of Gr. 3C for designing the Mascot.
