Gr. 3 - PLATE Champions of Milo Kids Fiesta Tournament 2017

A special assembly to celebrate the success from the Milo kids football fiesta tournament 2017 was held this morning (26th February 2017). The two football teams: Grade 2 & Grade 3 were welcomed by the school senior management, Heads of departments, teachers and student council as they walked through the school gate. Parents of these kids were also invited to this special assembly. 

At today's assembly the students were handed the medal they received from the tournament along with a special token from school which was also a medal for the good performance they showed throughout the fiesta tournament. 

Apart from the token for the kids, the coach Mr. Fazeel was also given a token of appreciation for the hard work  he had done in training the kids for the tournament. It was under his coaching that the kids played that well and that the Grade 3 team swept away the Champion title of the PLATE matches and became the 2nd Runner-up of the tournament. 

GIS wishes to thank the parents of both teams for being with the kids from the beginning till the end of the tournament. Parents have shown unity during this tournament and have supported the kids after every match. Principal Thoha Saleem also highlighted the support parents gave to their kids while addressing at today's assembly. He also acknowledged the work done by the coach and lastly thanked and encouraged the kids for playing so well.
