PD session on Assessment for Young Learners and Preparing Portfolios

A one and half hour Professional Development session on ‘Assessment for Young Learners and Preparing Portfolios’ was held on 18th March 2015 for the teachers of Grade 1 - 3.

This session was facilitated by Ms. Niumath Shafeeq, the  Educator Coordinator of National Institute of Education (NIE).  
This was quite a useful session for the teachers as they employ the method of Formative Assessment to assess the students.From the session, teachers also gathered information on how to prepare student portfolios. With the help of Ms. Niumath’s expertise, teachers are going to expand the records they keep on students’ performance.
