Nurses from ADK & IGMH at GIS: Awareness Sessions on Handwashing and Hand Hygiene

International Nurses Day (IND) is celebrated around the world on 12 May of each year, to mark the contributions nurses give to society.

To celebrate this day ADK nurses organized different programmes as part of their social responsibility and so a session on ‘HandWashing’ was held for the students of Grade 1 on 7th May 2015. A total of 117 students participated in this session. 11 nurses from ADK conducted the session with presentations, songs and hands on activities.
Nurses from IGMH also celebrated the International Nurses Day and similar to ADK they also conducted awareness sessions. For our Grade 2 and 3 students, they conducted a “Hand Hygiene” session on 11th May 2015. Total number of 238 students from both the grades participated in this session.
