uktrip

On 3rd October 2015 three of our coordinators left to UK on an exposure trip. This annual trip made by GIS teachers, are valuable experiences to observe and learn about the different methodologies and to improve our own practices.

Experiences away from regular school environment provide new knowledge and fresh perspectives for teachers as well.
Ms. Sobira, Ms. Aminath Ahmed and Ms. Shereen will be visiting Ashley Primary School and experience the teaching and learning in the school. Also they will be involved with learning more about project based learning, a project GIS has been getting a lot of assistance from the Ashley team.  The trip  will not only enhance the teaching learning experience but will immerse them into the way of life of another culture and also strengthen the close bond between the two schools. Learning in assorted ways can appeal to varied learning styles, helping children to succeed whether they are visual, auditory or kinesthetic learners. This can be facilitated by resourceful teachers and GIS always looks for avenues to train and empower teachers to provide  the best possible  learning experience for the students.
We would like to thank the parents of GIS for their encouragement and support in all such initiatives by the school.

GIS is a co-educational school catering to children between the ages of 6 and 16 years.
Our preparatory year as an international school began on a good note with a number of promising students and dedicated staff.
