Sports Festival for Grade Ones

On 20th October 2016, the Grade Ones had their sports festival in the school during which the students got to show their skills and talents. Two sport in particular: Netball for girls and Football for boys were organised by the school PE department under the supervision of the Grade coordinator Ms. Shereen.

All students were given the chance to play two matches and they enjoyed the festival much. At GIS, Grades 1 to 3 do not play sport as a competition, all students and parents are aware that participation is important and thus, everybody enjoys fair games. To add to the excitement, each class posed for the champion click and received an apple from their teachers as a gesture of appreciation. The festival ended with a lot of cheers and laughs showing sport-spirit among students, teachers and parents.
