GIS to participate in the 7th Annual International Robotronics Competition

The GIS delegation consisting of 24 students, 4 teachers and 15 parents  participating in the 7th Annual  International tronics Competition 2017 departed today to Beijing, China.  The competition is to be held from 1st to 8th June

Altogether 6  teams ( 3 Junior , 2 middle category and 1 senior team)  comprising of students from grades 5 to 9, were accompanied by Deputy Principal Ms. Shirmeena Faheem, Computer HOD Ms. Seetha, Mr. Binesh and Ms. Thaaifa.
The students qualified for this Competition by participating in the Maldives Round held at GIS on 10th of April. Apart from GIS, Ahmadiyya International School also participated in the Maldives Round.
GIS won 2nd place from Middle category at the same competition held in Singapore in 2016 and we hope students will be more successful this year.
