GIS Reaching Out to the Community – A Visit to Care Society!

On 31st January 2018, Ghiyasuddin International School made a book donation to Care Society along with a Token of Appreciation to recognize their dedicated services to children with Special Needs.
These books were bought from the fund raised from the ZYX video challenge that was initiated by GIS during last year’s Dyslexia Awareness Month (October). The ZYX video challenge was carried out to raise awareness and to show GIS community’s support for people struggling with dyslexia.
On this visit, Student Support Department conducted a read-aloud session for the grade 1 students of Care Society using the big books written and illustrated by the SEN students of GIS. GIS wishes to help every child experience the joy of reading and champion Care Society and all other NGOs that work tirelessly to support and promote the wellbeing of vulnerable groups in our society.
