We thank the students who took part in the National Short Story Writing and Essay Writing Competition which concluded recently, and we appreciate the effort put by them.
Aysha Juni Jinan from class 8B has been selected among the top ten students in the short story writing category, showcasing her creativity and storytelling skills. Similarly, Zoha Abdulla from 8B earned a spot among the best ten in the essay writing category, demonstrating her writing abilities.
Congratulations to them for their hard work and dedication! Their efforts clearly reflect their commitment.
Thank you to the Dhivehi department teachers who trained the students for this competition! Your guidance and encouragement made a huge difference in their success. It's wonderful to see the impact of dedicated teachers on their students' achievements!
GIS Got Talent 2024 Shines Bright!
On Saturday the 14th of Dec. 2024, GIS Got Talent 2024 was held for students of grades 1 to 5. Prior to the event, interested students applied to participate in the event as it was opened for the whole school.
The event showcased an incredible array of talents, including skits, musicals, dances, gymnastics, and magic tricks. Some students sang songs, while others presented Madhaha (religious poetry). Additionally, there were impressive displays of drawing, painting, and digital art and craft work.
With 244 students participating, this event provided a wonderful platform for young talents to shine. Experts from various fields judged the performances and artwork, adding to the event's prestige. It was a euphoric one-day event that left everyone inspired and delighted.
Congratulations to all the participants and a big thank you to the judges for their support!
Field Trip to Thilafushi Industrial Island
Our Grade 10 students had an enriching experience on Wednesday, 11th December 2024 as they embarked on an integrated field trip to Thilafushi Industrial Island!
During the visit, they explored two major industrial facilities:
STO Maldives Gas Private Limited – gaining insights into the production and distribution of gas.
Raysut Maldives Cement Pvt. Ltd. – understanding cement manufacturing and its importance in the construction industry.
This hands-on learning experience offered valuable insights into the industrial sector, linking classroom concepts to real-world applications. A big thank you to all who made this trip possible!
