It has been proven that outdoor learning experiences are often remembered for a lifetime because it can be enjoyable, creative, challenging and adventurous and helps children and young people learn by experience and grow with confidence and responsibility. In the same regard, some of our students with Special Needs went on a bus ride on 10th March 2015.

The purpose of this bus trip was to provide an opportunity for these students to experience how to take a  bus to travel to and from a place. On this trip, the students had the experience of buying a ticket which costs MVR 5/- on their own from the bus conductor. Our students took the bus from the stand near GIS and enjoyed wholeheartedly the scenery till they reached the bus stand near the Artificial Beach. They also played games at the artificial beach before taking the bus back to school.

The Student Support Department of the school has planned monthly trips for these kids. The purpose of planning these trips is to provide additional experience  to teach the students specific skills that are necessary for their everyday life and to offer opportunity to practise and experience and grow in areas where developmental delays exist.
