GIS Online Library, provided by OverDrive was launched on 12th April 2015. The prime objectives of having an online library are to offer new and improved platform for students to read the most popular books and to do research work with the help of the available materials on the digital library.

The eBooks are categorised into three age groups: Adults for Grades 8 and above, Young Adults for Grades 6 & 7 and Juvenile for Grades 1 - 5. A student can hold one eBook at a time and borrow it for seven days only. Once the lending period is over, the system returns the book by itself from the user.

The digital library can also be portable as the content can be downloaded directly to devices using the OverDrive apps which are available for  android, IOS and other devices too.

GIS takes the pride of offering such a facility as we are the pioneers of using OverDrive Online Library in Maldives.
