As scheduled on the school activity calendar, the Activity Day for Parents of Grade 5 & 6 was held on Thursday,  21st May 2015.

Similar to the previous two events, both parents of each child were invited to take part in the activities organised and conducted by the PE Department under the supervision of the grade coordinators and assisted by the grade teachers.

Parents enjoyed activities such as ‘balancing a balloon on a tennis racket’, ‘obstacle race’, ‘throwing and catching a water balloon’ and so on. Parents represented their class when challenging these activities; however, there was one activity ‘Bashi’ - a Maldivian traditional game which all parents in one grade played against the other grade. The excitement of the day was doubled when students and parents of each class ran the shuttle relay together. Students loved being close to their parents and taking part in an activity together.

The day’s enjoyment ended with the preparation of food items. Unlike the savoury dish prepared by the parents of Gr. 1 - 4, this time, the parents of Grade 5 & 6 prepared a meat salad and a fruit salad which were garnished and presented beautifully. To go along with the salads, there were bread and ice cream too.
On the whole, it was a wonderful day with lots of joy around. Everyone went home with a smile on their face and a small token in their hands given by the teachers.
