Jolly Phonics & Jolly Grammar by Marj Newbury
A one-day workshop on Jolly Phonics & Jolly Grammar was held today for the teachers teaching English to Grade 1 – 3. Apart from these teachers, two Special Education teachers and 12 parents participated in the workshop.
Today's workshop was facilitated by Marj Newbury who is an experienced teacher and a trainer committed to Jolly Phonics. She is well-versed in phonic teaching and regularly speaks at higher education institutions, teacher training universities and conferences in the UK. She has worked all over the world and shared her wealth of knowledge in the area. Marj has written many published articles and has been involved in phonics research.
GIS started using Jolly Phonics in the year 2014 after training the teachers to teach Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar. We conducted a refresher workshop on Jolly Phonics & Jolly Grammar in 2015 even.
GIS wishes to thank Ms. Marj Newbury for today's marvellous session which was enjoyed by both our teachers and parents.
