GIS Student Council Post Awarding Ceremony was held in the school hall on 10th March at 0900 hrs. The chief guest for the ceremony was Dr. Abdulla Firag, Manager Access Engineering, Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun Plc (Dhiraagu).

In this ceremony student council report of 2015 was presented by the former school captain (boys) Iujaz Hamza.
Newly elected student council for 2016 was awarded with sashes and tags by the chief guest Dr. Abdulla Firag. He also addressed the gathering; Dr. Firag highlighted the importance and making the best use of such opportunities.

School principal also spoke at this ceremony and highlighted on the purpose of such posts, and the roles and responsibilities of a student council member.
Student representatives of different associations and clubs, teachers, SMT members, PTA EXCO members and the parents of student council members were present to witness the student council members take the pledge to uphold the school values and commit to their designated responsibilities.
