As part of an annual activity for parents, GIS holds Activity Day for parents of different grades every year.

This year's Activity Day for the parents of Grade 1 & 3 was held on Thursday, 26th May 2016. With a lot of activities such as tyre relay, tunnel relay, collecting marbles, fitness relay and so on, a lot of energy was created. The event ended with a collegial competition between the parents of different classes on preparing a traditional Maldivian savoury dish called 'Handoo maa' and a sweet dish called 'Maafuh'. These food items were tasted by the school SMT members who showed gestures of encouragement by praising the dishes with words of gratitude. 

On every such event, the work done by the teachers of the grade, teachers of PE department and other teachers as well is much appreciated by the school and thus wishes to thank all teachers and grade coordinator for organising a successful event. At the same time, GIS also wishes to thank the parents for participating in the event and students for showing a lot of support.
