The Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Shiham met with the scholars who participated in the World Scholar’s Cup, Global Round. The meeting was held in the Ministry and it was attended by officials from the ministry,  the school Principal, Mr. Thoha Saleem, Deputy Principal , Ms. Ahmeema Abdulghafoor, English HOD Ms. Saroj Wilson and the parents of the scholars.

The students related their experiences to the gathering with a  powerpoint presentation.
The minister congratulated the students for their wonderful achievement and commended the school for finding such opportunities for the students to do extra work which cannot be done in the usual teaching and learning in the classroom. She noted that these experiences are life changing experiences which changes students’ outlook in life and urged the students and the school to take this forward and organize activities in the school as well as share with other schools, and be ambassadors of this academic circle.
Furthermore, she commended GIS for the new initiatives the school is taking and said that the Education Ministry also can work with schools in the future in such activities.
