Community Service Activity Initiated by the Parents with MOPA

As a community service activity, today Grade 2B students and their siblings took part in an event initiated by the parents with MOPA (Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance) to commemorate World Cleanup Day, which is marked on 20th September.
Students participated in an informative session about different types of plastic waste, its harmful effect on our environment and the plastic recycling process. They also segregated pet bottles, caps, cans, and other types of plastics.
The students were also given a tour of the MOPA Material Recovery Facility to see how plastics are baled into plastic cakes. It was a valuable experience to the students.
