GIS Science Fusion 2024
On 31st October 2024, we witnessed an incredible convergence of ideas and innovation at GIS Science Fusion themed as "Embracing AI Technology for the Future."
Most of the projects were presented using AI. Students used AI to identify what is junk and healthy food. Also, to build future farming. Another project was the AI powered traffic control one. This shows the immense exploration the students have done before submitting their projects.
56 projects were submitted as individual projects under the "Scientist in Me" category and 87 group projects under "Intelligent Minds" - a total of 143 exhibits, representing the pinnacle of creativity and talent.
Students were awarded with medals named after Albert Einstein, John Dalton, and Charles Darwin, who were pioneering scientists. It is worth recognizing their outstanding contributions and achievements to the world.
GIS wishes to thank all participants, teachers, parents and the Science Department of the school for making this event a phenomenal success.
Young Ambassadors' Conference
We are thrilled to share highlights from this year's Young Ambassadors' Conference! Since its inception in 2022 to mark the UN day, this annual event empowers students to explore the vital role of diplomacy in addressing global issues.
This year we welcomed 42 students representing delegates of 18 countries, supported by a dedicated secretariat team. Discussions included promoting peace, protecting the planet, and empowering women and girls.
A special thank you to our chief guest, His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Shaheeb, former High Commissioner of the Maldives to Singapore and India, and to the United Nations Office in the Maldives for their invaluable support in making this event a success. Together, we're inspiring the next generation of leaders.
