Grade 2 Field Trip to Iskandharu Koshi

gr2 traffic police

115 Students from Grade 2 went on a field trip to Police Iskandharu Koshi to observe the equipments used by the traffic police and also to get information about the road rules and the work that traffic police do. Officers from traffic police showed some road sign boards and explained the signs to our students.

The trip broadened our students’ knowledge on road signs and traffic in a more interactive manner mostly because they were given the chance to experience a different learning environment. We thank the commissioner of police and the officers who took the session for our students.

Grade 1 Field Trip to Children’s Park

gr1 child park

Socialisation plays a major role in a child’s life, especially when they are first placed in care of other care takers. To be properly socialised, children must spend large amount of time with their peers, and these skills cannot be appropriately taught by just being in the classroom. With this aim we took our little angels – the Grade Ones on an excursion to the Children’s park on 5th March 2013. During this Excursion students were given the opportunity to develop their social skills in a more relaxed environment.

GIS is a co-educational school catering to children between the ages of 6 and 16 years.
Our preparatory year as an international school began on a good note with a number of promising students and dedicated staff.
