GIS community celebrated our last and final activity day of the year with grade 8, 9 and 10 parents and students coming together for a fun filled day of laughter, joy and togetherness. After the activities, parents displayed their culinary talent and artistic displays of the traditional 'kulhi faaroshi' and 'foni faaroshi'.

GIS celebrated UN Day yesterday by holding the Young Ambassadors' Conference. In this simulation of the UN General Assembly, 27 countries were represented with 64 delegates consisting of students from grades 7 and 8 and the secretariate was from grades 9 and 10.
The main agenda of discussion was women empowerment.
Students researched and prepared for the conference on their own guided by the teachers. It was a lot of learning for the students on the art of diplomacy through their debates, networking and coming up with a resolution on their vision to create more equitable communities for women.
