Inter-Class Quran Competition began today, 28th August 2012. Grades 1 - 9 students are given the opportunity to take part in the competition under two categories namely reading from the book and recitation by memory. 10 students from each class are given the opportunity to take part in the competition. A total of 319 students are taking part in the competition in which 216 students are listed to compete by reading from the book while a total of 103 students are listed to compete by reciting from memory.
Parents of the participants are invited to observe the competition. During the competition students are given the scores right after they recite the verses. The scores are displayed on a screen so that audience can witness the scores students get. The competition will be continued until Saturday, 1st of September 2012.
A special Assembly will be held to award the winners of the competition during the second week of September.
