MARKING WORLD SPACE WEEK 2020
The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1999 that World Space Week (WSW) will be held each year from 4th to 10th October. For the first time in Maldives, GIS launched the Space Science Education in collaboration with Institute of Global Success (IGS) on 6th February 2020 and since then we have held few activities. Similarly, marking “World Space Week 2020”, was another activity under this programme and so GIS conducted a virtual “Space Week 2020”, under this year’s theme “Satellite Improve Life”.
