World Environment Day
As 5th June is a public holiday, Ghiyasuddin International School marked the World Environment Day at the school assembly today. This was organized by the school Fashala Association.
Highlights of the celebration:
* An informative speech by the student leader of Fashala Association, Yoosuf Juzlan Shafeeu (9C) calling for urgent action to reduce single-use plastics, protect marine life, and embrace sustainable habits.
* A collective pledge led by the deputy student leader of Fashala Association, Alya Ashraf (8C) reinforcing our shared responsibility to protect the environment.
* Classroom Pledges: Each class prepared a unique pledge, now proudly displayed in the school foyer.
* Hanging Garden Project: Inaugurated by the School Principal, this green initiative will be a continuous project, with each class contributing to its growth and care.
Together, we are turning awareness into action and nurturing a greener future!

# Ayana Areef secured 1st place overall and claimed victory in the 15-19 years age category.
# Liham competed as a Special Maldives Olympics athlete and successfully completed the 250m event.
