Activity Day for Parents of Grade Two
Parent involvement has always been encouraged at GIS. Activity day is one event GIS holds in order to strengthen the GIS family bond. More than 200 parents participated in today's activities along with their kids. Activities such as run mat, tyre relay, fishing for marbles, musical hoops, three legged race, tunnel & bouncy ball and rounders were enjoyed by all parents. These activities were carried out with the help of PE teachers. All teachers of grade two were engaged in planning and organising the activities which were executed today under the guidance of Grade Coordinator Ms. Shereen.
As a final activity, parents prepared Maldivian savoury dishes 'Maafuh' and 'Handooma' which were deliciously enjoyed by students, teachers, parents and management members. As a gesture of appreciation, parents were presented with paper-craft medals which they happily wore while going home.
