Senior Management Team (SMT)'s Leadership Training Trip to Lanka

On 20th Sept. 2015 GIS SMT left to Sri Lanka on a leadership training workshop. The team will be in Lanka until 26th Sept. 2015. The team will be taking part in a two-full day session on 'Leadership in Education' & 'Teacher as a Coach' which will be facilitated by Dr. Prabhath Karunayake from Global Talent Coach and Consultants Pvt. Ltd. Sri Lanka.
9 members of the SMT will experience smart methods of leadership in education and best practices of teaching. The team will also visit Kandy and Nurwa Eliya as part of sight seeing before they return on the 27th Sept. 2015.
Teachers' Exposure Trip to Delhi

On 18th Sept. 2015, 10 teachers left to Delhi on an exposure trip. During the trip, the teachers visited some of the Shriram Schools which are sister-schools of GIS. The school visits provided the teachers new experiences related to teaching and at the same time they have exchanged best practices.
One of the main activities of this trip was the training workshops teachers took part. In addition to this, they have visited Taj Mahal in Agra, the Red Fort and other important monuments as part of sight seeing.
Teachers would return on 26th Sept. 2015 after a week's learning experience away from home.
FIRST EXPOSURE TRIP TO GIS BY INDIAN STUDENTS

8 students and 2 teachers visited GIS from India on an exposure trip from the 7th to 11th of September 2015.
