Project-based learning is an important part of education at GIS which emphasizes on discovery and experience. Learning for all ages should be hands-on, immersive and active and with the approach, our students are provided with numerous opportunities to encounter real-life problems that require questioning and collaborating in order to reach to a solution.

A new awarding system was introduced this year to encourage, appreciate and award staff of GIS. Awards were presented based on this system at the Teachers' Day dinner held on 12th October 2017 at Ghiyasuddin International School. The 100% attendance certificates were given by PTA Vice President Mr.Fakhir. And the Awards were given by Principal Mr.Thoha Saleem.
Fruits distributed on World Food Day

16th October is World Food Day. Each student of GIS was presented with two apples and an orange by Banyan Tree Maldives, as part of their community service.
Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts distributes food to different local communities every year to mark this day and this year they chose GIS.
