Health Screening for students of Grade One - A cooperative effort between Ghiyasuddin International School and MNDF Medicals (Senahiya)

GIS held its annual Health Screening Program for the new batch of Grade one on 17th and 18th February 2015. A total of 106 students underwent the screening, during which doctors from MNDF Medicals took a health history of students from their parents, checked their eyesight and did some of the basic physical examinations related to the  skin, throat and ear.

Student council election 2015

The Students’ Council of GIS was elected on the 18th of February after a week of exciting   campaigning. It was an educative exercise for the students in a number of ways. They learnt  the skills of persuasion through speech and posters, the norms of competition and how to do it in an amicable and healthy manner and also to accepted defeat with courage and courtesy and to appreciate the success of others.

Session on Assessment for Learning in collaboration with the Ministry of Education

On Monday,16th February 2015 a session on Assessment for Learning was held at GIS in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE). The session was attended by the Primary teachers of all the schools of Male’ City. This session attended by more than 350 teachers was introduced by the State Minister of MOE, Mr. Adam Shareef.

GIS is a co-educational school catering to children between the ages of 6 and 16 years.
Our preparatory year as an international school began on a good note with a number of promising students and dedicated staff.
