The Deputy Head of Ashley School, UK Mrs. Jackie Stevens visited GIS from 8th to 11th August 2016. During her visit she observed teachers teaching Math and Art and conducted a two hour practical workshop on how Math and Art can be linked to create 'Great Works' of learning.
GIS students in the National Top Ten!

It was a special night for the students who sat for the Cambridge O’level Exam 2015. The Top Achievers’ Award Ceremony was held at Dharubaaruge last night. 10 students of GIS were selected in the National Top Ten and 5 students got the High Achiever’s Award.

Minister of Education meets with the World Scholar's Cup team

The Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Shiham met with the scholars who participated in the World Scholar’s Cup, Global Round. The meeting was held in the Ministry and it was attended by officials from the ministry, the school Principal, Mr. Thoha Saleem, Deputy Principal , Ms. Ahmeema Abdulghafoor, English HOD Ms. Saroj Wilson and the parents of the scholars.
