Session on Jolly Phonics for teachers and parents
To teach literacy through synthetic phonics, the Grade 1 teachers were trained to use a fun and multi-sensory approach called ‘Jolly Phonics’ last year.
Professional Development (PD) Session on using Formative Assessment
A one-hour PD session on using Formative Assessment was conducted for the teachers teaching to Grade one. This workshop, participated by 20 teachers was facilitated by the school Deputy Principal, Ms. Shirmeena Faheem.
Activities conducted by Islam Department to mark the day Maldives Embraced Islam
To inculcate the love for our religion, and to strengthen conscience in our students as well as to make them understand what a blessing it is for the Maldives to have Embraced Islam, related activities were conducted in this school on Thursday, 22nd January 2015.
