GIS Begins the New Academic Year with Striking News!

As part of the community service activities, GIS started collecting plastics in collaboration with PARLEY, a US NGO working for the Oceans and a Maldivian NGO, BEAM. The GIS family collected household plastics over the year 2016 which were taken abroad by the PARLEY group.
GIS WSC team breezes to victory winning 4 Golds and 7 Silver Medals!

The GIS WSC team wins four golds and seven silver medals from the Tournament of Champions of the World Scholar's Cup held at Yale University, New Haven, United States of America. The competition was held from 18th to 21st of this month. The team consisting six members have done marvellous work at the competition and it is indeed a victory for GIS as the great six are spotted among the 1600 participants from 40 countries. We believe that GIS team also represented Maldives by proudly waving the Maldivian flag at the closing ceremony.

6 students accompanied by the Deputy Principal Ahmeema Abdulghafoor and English HOD, Ms. Saroj Wilson and 2 parents left to USA, today, to participate in the Tournament of Champions of the World Scholar's Cup to be held in Yale University, New Haven, United States of America, from the 18th to 21st of November, 2016.
